Wyoming man sentenced to jail, probation for distributing fentanyl at Woods Cross motel

FARMINGTON — A Wyoming man who was arrested during a SWAT drug bust in Woods Cross last year was sentenced to jail and probation for distributing fentanyl.

James Gage Greene, 20, of Evanston, Wyoming, pleaded guilty in July to distribution of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony, and possession of a firearm by a restricted person, a third-degree felony. In exchange for his plea, charges of possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor, were dismissed.

Greene was sentenced to one to 15 years for the distribution charge and a term of zero to five years for the firearm possession charge. The prison terms were suspended, however, and he was ordered to serve 489 days in jail, with credit given for the 489 days he had already served in jail. He is sentenced to three years of probation, during which he must obtain a high school diploma, be evaluated for substance abuse and complete cognitive/behavioral therapy, court documents state…
