Gov. Tina Kotek Announces Application Process for Two New Judgeships in Lane County, Oregon

Oregon’s judicial landscape is expanding, with Governor Tina Kotek opening the application process for two new seats on the Lane County Circuit Court. These positions come into effect starting January 1, 2026, a direct result of SB 95’s passage, which the Governor inked into law late July this year.

The announcement, detailed in a recent press release, indicates the addition of judicial positions in Douglas, Lane, and Clackamas Counties, however, applications for Clackamas County will follow through a separate announcement. As of now, those interested in the Lane County positions are directed to send their applications by email only to Shevaun Gutridge at the Governor’s Office, with a tight deadline set for 5:00 p.m. on September 24, 2025.
