84-year-old Lamont man killed in hit-and-run on I-5 in Stanislaus County: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — California Highway Patrol said an 84-year-old Lamont man was killed late Tuesday night in a possible hit-and-run crash along northbound Interstate 5 in Patterson, California.

On September 2, 2025, at around 11:10 p.m., CHP officers received a call regarding a disabled driver attempting to wave down traffic on northbound I-5, south of Sperry Avenue. After they arrived, they found a 84-year-old Lamont man lying in the center median with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. He died at the scene.

His identity will be released at a later time by the Kern County Coroner’s Office…
