Over $2 million worth of narcotics seized in one week: Virginia State Police

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police troopers have seized more than $2 million worth of illegal narcotics in one week as part of an ongoing crime suppression initiative.

The operation, which is in partnership with local and federal agencies, saw state troopers seize 338 pounds of narcotics and 23 controlled substances, valued at $2,039,722, during the week of Thursday, Aug. 28, to Thursday, Sept. 4.

The following is a breakdown of the recovered narcotics:

  • 4.5 pounds of cocaine
  • 20 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 312.4 pounds of marijuana
  • 8 ounces of fentanyl
  • 23 fentanyl pills
  • 16 pounds of psilocybin
  • 2,000 THC Vapes
