POLK COUNTY, Iowa — A lawsuit filed by a former Polk County Human Resources Director is set to begin trial on Monday.
Jim Nahas was terminated in 2021 due to the county’s concerns about his responses during an investigation into vulgar and inappropriate comments allegedly made by Polk County Board of Supervisors Chair Matt McCoy on Oct. 6, 2020.
Sarah Boese, now the county’s deputy administrator, alleges McCoy made vulgar comments about her during a meeting and Polk County did not protect her from McCoy after the fact…
