MINOT, N.D. — A judge in North Dakota has reportedly rejected a proposed plea deal by attorneys for a man charged with the Christmas Eve murder of a Ringgold native.
41-year-old Daniel Breijo, a former Homeland Security officer, is charged with murdering Master Sergeant Nicholas ‘Nick’ McLeod Van Pelt, who grew up in Catoosa County, on Christmas Eve 2023.
