Two people have been charged under New York Ag & Markets Law for allegedly abandoning a dog at their former home in Westfield. Westfield Police were called to the residence of 23-year-old Angel Travis and 61-year-old George Travis in August after neighbors and the property owner noticed that the two had not been home for several days. According to officers, it was reported that a dog was left inside the residence during that time. They found that the Travises had moved to another state and allegedly left their dog inside their former residence, unattended. Police found feces throughout the residence, no food or water for the dog, and that nobody had taken care of it for several days.
