Louisville hopes film offers idea to tackle homeless crisis

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Multiple nonprofit organizations, along with the City of Louisville, tackled the homelessness crisis. They hoped to shed light on the need for permanent affordable housing through a film screening that paved a way forward for other cities across the country.

In the Jan. 2023 “Point-in-time” report, Jefferson County had almost 600 people sleeping outside and not in a shelter.
