Houston Police Seek Public Help to Identify Suspects in Aggravated Robbery Assaulting Elderly Clerk

Authorities in Houston are calling for public assistance following a robbery incident involving an elderly store clerk. According to the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division, on August 19, three young men entered a convenience store, and after an alleged act of shoplifting, brutally attacked the clerk when he attempted to confront them.

The assault occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. in a store located on the 3700 block of South Gessner, Houston. The suspects, described as being between 16 and 19 years old, allegedly stole food items. When the clerk attempted to record them with his cell phone, he was assaulted with punches and kicks. During the ensuing commotion outside the store, the suspects took the clerk’s phone and fled on foot.

As documented in surveillance footage, the Houston Police have released descriptions of the suspects. The first was wearing a gray t-shirt and orange shorts, the second was clad in a black hoodie and jogger pants, while the third sported a pullover and black shorts.
