Man finds toddler roaming around Albuquerque neighborhood at night

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A cigarette break has turned into criminal charges for a local couple. On Wednesday, neighbors at the Eagle’s Nest Condominiums found a 2-year-old crying and roaming around, wearing nothing but a diaper.

Syke Throne, a nearby neighbor, says he and another neighbor called 911 for a welfare check.

“I was just in my room playing video games, listening to music, and the crying was louder than that. So that already indicated something is wrong. So, when I go outside, I see another man with the child, because I wasn’t the first one that approached him, there was another man with him already with him. ‘Is this your kid?’ I’m like, ‘No, I’m not sure whose it is or anything like that.’”…
