BRETHREN — A Canton man was sentenced for a 2024 Brethren incident that included assault and driving while intoxicated.
Michael John Young, 56, of Canton, appeared in Manistee County’s 19th Circuit Court on Aug. 25 for sentencing.
Young was sentenced to five months and 15 days in jail for felony operating while intoxicated, and two misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault. While operating while intoxicated is a misdemeanor charge, a third offense becomes a felony charge…
