Greenwood man sentenced to 23 years in prison for dealing drugs

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A man from Greenwood has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for dealing drugs, according to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Thursday, Circuit Court Judge Andrew Roesener sentenced Miguel Carter, of Greenwood, to 23 years in prison for dealing drugs in Johnson County.

Carter was convicted by a Johnson County jury on July 30, following a two-day trial. The jury convicted Carter of dealing in cocaine and dealing in marijuana. Under Indiana law, Carter faced a possible sentence of 10 to 30 years for the dealing in cocaine conviction, and six months to two and a half years for the dealing in marijuana conviction…
