AUSTIN, Texas — A popular Austin barbecue joint is reportedly expanding to offer a new event location.
According to KVUE’s news partners at the Austin-American Statesman, Franklin Barbecue is leasing out a new spot for larger events in East Austin. The new space can be found where Contigo was previously located, on Anchor Lane near Manor Road.
Franklin’s previously held private events at its location on 900 E. 11th St., but the spot had a capacity of about 70 people. The new space can initially hold around 150 patrons, with a goal to increase that number to 225 by spring 2026…
