El Paso County Commissioner Butler annouces new streetlights for East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County Commissioners Court recently approved funding for the next five years for streetlights, with an emphasis on dark areas where there are mail box clusters, said County Commissioner Jackie Butler, who represents Precinct 1 which includes everything north of I-10 and Loop 375.

“I’m proud to have fought for new lights at every dark mailbox cluster in the County, including 25 in Precinct 1. This new initiative will make it safer for families across the County to pick up their mail after dark,” Butler said.

“As a lifelong resident of Montana Vista, I know all too well how dark it can get in our neighborhoods. That’s why my team and I have fought to place street lighting in the areas that need it most, in addition to the mailbox clusters. We are proud to announce that 165 new streetlights will be added throughout East Montana, including Square Dance, Montana Vista, Hillcrest Estates, and Hueco Tanks,” Butler added…
