Ex-Arlington Heights school nurse guilty of misusing students’ prescription drugs, receives jail time

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WGN) — A former elementary school nurse in Arlington Heights pleaded guilty to charges that she misused prescription drugs intended for students.

Tory Eitz, who formerly worked at Westgate Elementary School in Arlington Heights, will serve at least 90 days in jail and 30 months of probation after pleading guilty Thursday to charges of official misconduct, forgery, and endangering the life of a child.

Eitz is not allowed to contact the victims at home, work, or school. Sentencing also includes drug treatment and drug testing. In addition to paying court-imposed fines, Eitz can not treat or dispense medication to children while on probation, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
