Authorities clarify no charges filed against El Paso DACA recipient detained by ICE

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Authorities in Arizona say charges were never filed for El Paso DACA recipient Catalina “Xochitl” Santiago, despite federal authorities claiming she has a criminal history.

According to Graham County Attorney L. Scott Bennett, from Safford, Arizona, in 2021, his office dropped a case involving Santiago and allegations of drug possession because of “insufficient information.”
