Two-time record holder Blake Sansbury joins the 8 O’Clock Buzz with his take on training, eggs, and racing Ironman Wisconsin.
With characteristic bravado, Sansbury describes Ironman as more than a pastime: “It’s not a pastime, it’s all of my time. I don’t punch the clock because it never ends. If anything, the clock punches me. Look, it’s a lifestyle.” He insists that success comes from sacrifice, single-minded focus, and sometimes even treating family members as part of the support staff–employees.
