Springfield voters among many to decide fate of fire and EMS levies

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Funding local fire agencies will come at a slightly increased cost if voters vote in favor of various fire and safety levies throughout Lane County come November.

Residents of Springfield are among those throughout the county deciding on renewing a levy.

Springfield’s levy which would raise just over $3 million a year across five years would move the cost up 15 cents from 38 cents to 53 cents per $1,000 assessed value…
