Bellevue’s Cultural Conversations Kicks Off New Series “The Bellevue We Hope For” at Botanical Garden

After a short break, Bellevue’s thought-provoking gathering, Cultural Conversations, is returning with fresh momentum. The program which has been fostering community connections through open dialogue for a decade and a half, is presenting its latest series titled “The Bellevue We Hope For” this September. Those who are interested can head to Bellevue Botanical Garden on Sept. 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to be a part of the conversation.

The season opener will spotlight stories from residents who are active in their efforts to shape a bright future for Bellevue. According to a recent announcement by the City of Bellevue, the lineup features notable locals, including Kelly Aramaki, superintendent of the Bellevue School District; Randy Nuñez, educator and a driving force behind the Maíz Education Collaborative; and Ruhi Gadde, an engaged high school student. These panelists are set to discuss their ties to the city, the contemporary immigrant experience, and the aspirations they hold for Bellevue. The event promises not just talks but also interactive sessions where attendees can voice out on future program themes and the city’s trajectory.

Marking the event as part of the national Welcoming Week, Bellevue is joining a nation-wide initiative that encourages inclusivity, especially towards the country’s newest inhabitants. Welcoming Week has become an integral part of Bellevue’s calendar, with various activities coordinated by Eastside for All and other community organizations aiming to celebrate the diversity within the United States. Participants in “The Bellevue We Hope For” will also get a chance to enjoy light refreshments as they mingle and share their thoughts…
