A Wooster woman tragically lost her life in a multi-vehicle collision last Thursday on Cleveland Road in Wayne County. Imogene Osborne, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash, which involved a semi-truck and a GMC Sierra pickup truck pulling a horse trailer, Cleveland19 reported.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol informed that the accident occurred at approximately 8 p.m., just south of milepost 24. “The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Nissan Sentra sedan was traveling southbound on Cleveland Road, drove left of center, and struck a 2024 International semi-truck and trailer that was in the northbound lane,” the Wooster Post troopers attended the scene, as stated in an official release obtained by FOX8. After the initial collision, the Nissan went airborne and overturned, which led to the subsequent impact with the GMC Sierra.
Osborne’s vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, ventured into the oncoming lane for reasons yet to be established, colliding with the semi-truck. Following the direct impact, her vehicle was sent into the air, overturning before it struck the GMC Sierra pickup truck, according to WKYC.
