GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) — A devastating fire tore through a single-family home on the 500 block of Mary Scott Drive in Goose Creek early Friday morning morning, leaving the residence uninhabitable. Goose Creek fire officials said they responded to the blaze at approximately 3:11 a.m., finding heavy fire engulfing the home’s roof, a detached outbuilding, and several vehicles in the driveway.
All occupants had safely evacuated before the fire department’s arrival.
Firefighters launched an aggressive attack to contain and extinguish the fire, but the home sustained extensive damage, including a roof collapse. The Red Cross was notified and is providing assistance to the displaced residents…
