Here’s what Micron’s chip complex in New York would look like
Micron Technology has for the first time filed a detailed site plan with the town of Clay for a planned chipmaking complex. The 336-page filing offers the clearest look yet at the sprawling complex Micron intends to build at the corner of Route 31 and Caughdenoy Road. It also sets into motion an essential review by the town that Micron will need to start construction of the fabrication plants, or fabs. The site plan application is the latest in a series of major advances for the project in the past few months. Elsewhere on the Micron front, contractors are beginning to pitch their services for the first phase of work on the complex and Onondaga County is moving to evict a 91-year-old widow from her home in Clay to make way for the work.
