Amarillo College launches new scholarship for area students

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo College has announced a new Badger Bound Scholarship to help more students access higher education.

The program, approved by the AC Board of Regents last week, is scheduled to begin next fall. It offers up to 45 hours of free college credit to students who complete at least 15 dual-credit hours through AC in high school, which is enough to earn an associate’s degree.

School districts across Potter, Randall, Moore, Carson, Oldham, Deaf Smith, Parmer, Castro and Swisher counties will be eligible to partner with the college…
