Lancaster County organizations unite for clothing drive aiding disaster victims

LANCASTER CO., PA — Organizations in Lancaster County have joined forces to host a clothing drive aimed at supporting individuals recovering from disasters such as floods and fires. The event, held at the Paul Davis Restoration Center, saw volunteers sorting through piles of donated clothes to assist those in need.

Joey Baker, the Emergency Recovery Coordinator at Paul Davis Restoration, emphasized the importance of providing dignity to those affected by disasters. “I wanted a place to be able to make sure that people had the dignity to choose what they needed to have and to help them on that road to recovery as simple as easy as possible,” said Baker.

The clothing drive was a collaborative effort with the Lancaster-Lebanon Disaster Relief Lions Club and the Pennsylvania Furniture Mission. Donations were accepted for two hours, allowing ample time for community members to contribute…
