Southern Virginia Women’s Soccer Uses Strong Second-Half Push to Earn Road Draw at Ferrum

Ferrum, Va. – The Southern Virginia University women’s soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw on the road against Ferrum College on Tuesday evening.

The Knights started slow, and Ferrum capitalized with a goal in the 21st minute to take an early lead. Despite trailing, Southern Virginia began to find their rhythm with a pair of corner kicks and shots from Addison Newman and Courtney Montes, both turned away by the Panther goalkeeper. McKenna Currey added another chance late in the half, but the Knights entered the break behind 1-0.
