N.Y. pastor, police officers team up to foster community

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Pastor Donald Stevens has been building a bridge between law enforcement and the people they protect for years.

“Not only do we discuss things, but we get to know each other,” Helping Hand Baptist church pastor Donald Stevens said. “You know, the Bible describes that when you break bread together, you become part of one another. And everybody is part of one another, when it comes to the fact that we are part of the same community.”
