A five-year-old was transported in serious condition to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a suspected 21-year-old DUI driver, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the incident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday near a closed park pathway at 2500 Laning Road, a road which is located inside the Naval Base Point Loma Annex.
