The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for parts of northern Minnesota and frost advisories across North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin as of early Sunday, cautioning that temperatures could fall into the low 30s and produce frost that may damage vegetation.

The NWS Duluth office maintained a freeze warning, saying: “Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 [were] expected” for Koochiching, Central and North St. Louis counties. The warning remains in effect until 8 a.m. CDT Sunday and notes that “frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.”
The freezing point of water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
