University of Michigan raised $886M this year, 2nd highest in history

ANN ARBOR, MI – Donors gave this last fiscal year the University of Michigan the second-highest donations in the university’s history.

The $886 million fundraising total from October 2024 to September 2025 marks a 13% increase from the last fiscal year, according to a Sept. 8 University Record update.

“This year has provided opportunities to reinforce our shared commitment to the university, the value of a Michigan education, and our vision for the future,” Thomas Baird, UM vice president for development, said. “We are grateful to our generous supporters for their constant support and dedication to advancing Michigan and its profound impact on our state and our world.”…
