MONTEVALLO, Ala. — The American Village will display 139 American flags to represent the Alabama veterans who tragically died by suicide in 2023. It is part of Alabama’s Operation We Remember Campaign, a statewide initiative honoring veterans lost to suicide.
The Honor Our Veterans Committee of America 250 Alabama is joining the effort, which includes participants from colleges, high schools, community groups, and civic organizations across the state. The committee is also sponsoring the distribution of 150 Veterans Crisis Line yard signs across Alabama. These signs connect veterans and their families to the Veterans Crisis Line.
