Although fall doesn’t officially begin for two weeks or so, the first blast of fall-like weather is inbound to the North Bay early this week.
You can see the disturbance headed our way in the water vapor satellite image Sunday. This weak storm will brush the North Bay beginning on Monday.
The first showers may begin during the day on Monday. By Tuesday, an upper level low pressure center will pass very near the Bay Area.
Most of the real rain will stay north of Sonoma County, but there is a good chance of up to a tenth of an inch of showers to fall as far south as Santa Rosa.
Here is the outlook from the European model, and the WPC model, for rainfall by Wednesday afternoon.
So, just light sprinkles for most of the North Bay, but north of Mendocino County more than a half an inch of rain may fall by Wednesday…
