Williams deals with more pipeline opposition in North Carolina

Williams Cos. of Tulsa faces opposition for an expansion of another of its pipeline projects. It’s the Transco natural gas pipeline effort called the Southeast Suupply Enhancement Project.

The project would expand the existing capacity of the Transcontinental pipeline which runs nearly 10,000 miles from Texas to New York. The expansion would be from Virginia to the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama.

Williams filed for federal approval in February of 2024 and did so at a time when the Biden administration announced a pause on approving future liquefied natural gas export projects…
