The city of Albuquerque dedicated the pavilion overlooking Tingley Field playground to former City Councilor Adele Hundley on Friday, honoring her decades of public service and advocacy for the historic Barelas neighborhood.
The dedication ceremony was part of the city’s “Stories of Us” initiative, which recognizes individuals whose contributions deserve permanent recognition in public spaces, according to a city press release.
“It’s never been about me, it’s about helping people,” Hundley said at the ceremony. “When you look at all the work we do as politicians, you don’t do it alone—you do it because you have a lot of good people supporting you.”…
