BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau has reported significant enforcement activity during the week of September 1 to September 7, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and improve the quality of life in the city.
The Special Enforcement Division made 41 arrests, including 27 felony arrests and 14 misdemeanor arrests. Officers also seized 14 firearms, conducted 101 traffic stops, issued 107 citations, and impounded 12 vehicles, two of which were stolen and subsequently recovered.
In addition to these actions, the division made 419 citizen contacts and assisted in 21 patrols. The enforcement efforts also led to the seizure of $1,070 in currency and a variety of narcotics, including 1.7 grams of Adderall, 3.8 grams of cocaine, 155.6 grams of crack cocaine, 41 grams of crystal meth, 18 grams of fentanyl, and significant quantities of other drugs such as marijuana, MDMA, and synthetic marijuana…
