COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) – A new housing initiative inspired by the vision of Pope Leo is taking place in Northern Kentucky. The Pope Leo Village Campaign is made possible by an anonymous donor dedicated to continuing Pope Leo’s call to put love into action.
The project, led by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati, will bring nine new homes to Covington’s Botany Hills neighborhood over the next 18 months.
Cincinnati is the second city to launch the campaign, following Chicago.
The homes will be available to families earning between 30 and 80% of the area’s median income, which translates to about $3,000 to $7,000 a month for a family of four.
