Cincinnati invests $1.8M in neighborhood business district revitalization projects

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The City of Cincinnati is investing $1.8 million in fifteen transformative projects across twelve neighborhood business districts through its Neighborhood Business District Improvement Program (NBDIP). This initiative, one of the city’s longest-running community development programs, aims to enhance business districts by supporting community-led projects that improve vibrancy, amenities, safety, sustainability, and economic opportunities.

“These investments demonstrate the City’s commitment to equitable neighborhood growth,” said Markiea Carter, Director of the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), in a media release, “By empowering local business districts to lead the way in revitalization, NBDIP continues to be one of our most impactful programs for moving the needle on neighborhood development.”
