Lansing investigating music video shot on fire department’s roof

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Officials in the city of Lansing are investigating how a local musician obtained access to a downtown Lansing fire station over Labor Day weekend.

On Aug. 31, Lansing artist P.B. Yanna posted a video of herself performing on the roof of the fire station located at the corner of Shiawassee St. and Grand Ave. in downtown Lansing. Yanna posted the video to both her Instagram and Facebook accounts. 6 News does not have the legal right to show the video in this story at this time.

City spokesman Scott Bean says the city became aware of the video last week and has launched an investigation into whether any city policies were violated.

“The Mayor is aware of this video and was extremely surprised and disappointed that a city-owned facility and resources were allowed to be used to film this video,” Bean wrote in an email to 6 News on Monday. “An internal investigation is underway to ascertain any possible policy violations.”…
