Uber driver in Northern California outsmarts teen with loaded gun, deputies say

Around 2 p.m., an Uber driver picked up a teen near the 2300 block of Arden Way in Sacramento. During the ride, the driver, a woman, noticed that the teen was armed with a rifle, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the woman calmly made an excuse to stop at a nearby business.

Once she was safely away from the vehicle, she reportedly asked someone at the business to call 911. Deputies responded and detained the four passengers, including a 17-year-old boy who was found with a loaded rifle with a high-capacity magazine.
