500 pounds of meth seized in largest bust for Sonoma County sheriff’s narcotics unit

Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies seized about 500 pounds of methamphetamine Saturday in what’s believed to be one of the largest drug busts in Northern California in recent years, officials said Monday.

The crackdown came after a complex investigation into a drug trafficking organization in the region and meth distribution in Sonoma County, officials said.

On Saturday, deputies with the sheriff’s Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at a home on Seven Trees Boulevard in San Jose and stopped a car linked to the “target” of the investigation, officials said…
