BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — The memory of what happened to Tom Meyer’s home in Leland in September 2024 is still just too painful to talk about.
“It’s just depressing to come home to this every day,” he said. “Every single day. I can’t rebuild it. It was an inch too low to rebuild this house.”
