TxDOT officials to speak about I-10 upgrade project

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials will speak up about the project that would make improvements and upgrades to Interstate 10 through Downtown El Paso.

As KTSM previously reported, TxDOT had asked for the community’s feedback on the proposed Downtown 10 project, which includes improvements along I-10 from Executive Center Boulevard to State Loop 478 or Copia Street.

The project, which is about six miles long and would widen I-10 from three to five lanes to four to six lanes headed east and west, aims to improve mobility and long-term congestion, reduce potential conflict points, improve incident management, and bring the highway up to current design standards, according to TxDOT.
