DC Ad campaign seeks to unmask federal agents taking part in law enforcement surge

The nonprofit group, Home of the Brave, launched what it referred to as a “six-figure street campaign” complete with wall postings, sidewalk decals and posters hung at bus stops, urging federal officers to take off their masks.

“I do understand the terror that it creates for people. A lot of times, these officers are masked. They’re not identifying themselves. They’re wearing street clothes and masks and a lot of people think they may be getting abducted, and it’s just not good policing,” said Harry Dunn, a former United States Capitol Police officer, who was injured during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and serves on the Home of the Brave advisory board.

“I think when you’re out there working in a public capacity, take your mask off,” Dunn said.

“Law enforcement officers wear masks to protect themselves and their families from being doxed. Instead of attacking those keeping us safe, Democrats should focus on the violent criminals terrorizing American communities,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told 7News Monday, when asked about the ad campaign…
