OREGON, USA — University of Oregon scientists have joined a national research effort to understand how natural disasters trigger each other, receiving part of a $15 million National Science Foundation grant to study cascading floods and landslides.
The University of Michigan will lead the new research center called CLASH, which stands for Cascading Land Surface Hazards. University of Oregon geology professor Josh Roering is among the scientists partnering in the initiative.
