DENVER, Pa. — Workers at a Lancaster County distribution center teamed up recently to pack more than 300 backpacks with back-to-school supplies to help local kids in need start off their school year with confidence.
Employees at Henry Schein, Inc.’s facility in Denver packed 340 backpacks full of folders, notebooks, and other supplies, the company said in a press release.
As part of the Company’s “Back to School” program, the backpacks were donated to pre-identified participating children at the Children’s Home of Reading, a non-profit organization offering specialized residential, educational, and community-based programs to help both at-risk children and their families…
