Man arrested for breaking into business in Cooper Township

COOPER TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 24-year-old man is in custody for allegedly throwing and brick through a window and breaking into a business in Kalamazoo County’s Cooper Township late Friday night.

Around 11:15 p.m. Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Cooper Market at 8005 Douglas Avenue for a report of a male breaking into the building which was already closed for business.

When deputies arrived, they found that the suspect had used a brick to shatter the glass front door and made entry into the store. The suspect stole several items of merchandise before fleeing on foot before deputies arrived on scene…
