Lansing Veterans Council pays tribute to 9/11 victims with field exhibit

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Lansing Veterans Council is hosting the “9/11 Honor Field”exhibit to honor the lives of veterans and active service members who lost their lives during the Sept. 11 attacks.

The exhibit will run from Tuesday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 12, at the Evergreen Cemetery Columbarium in Lansing.

The “9/11 Honor Field” will feature flags representing the military service members who died during the attacks, including:

  • 34 veterans who were killed at the World Trade Center.
  • 55 active military personnel were killed at the Pentagon.
  • 2 veterans who died on Flight 93.

A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the cemetery at noon on Sept. 11…
