Fall River man held without bail on drug and gun charges in Superior Court after city shooting where he was shot

A Fall River man was arraigned Monday in Fall River Superior Court on drug and gun charges.

According to police, on May 9th, Fall River Police Department CAST Detectives responded to Charlton Memorial Hospital following a reported shooting near the 200 block of Orange Street in Fall River. The male victim, identified as 22-year-old Jesus Santana, was found to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

During the course of the investigation, hospital staff turned over evidence removed from Santana’s person, including approximately 10.6 grams of suspected fentanyl and a wallet containing a large sum of cash…
