Community Conversations: TxDOT’s Loop South project nears completion in Lower Valley

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Loop South project in the Lower Valley is nearing completion, with traffic now using the newly opened southbound lanes.

Lauren Macias-Cervantes from TxDOT provided updates on the project in KFOX14 Community Conversations, stating that during a recent weekend closure, crews moved and removed barriers and painted striping along the corridor.

“Traffic is now in the final configuration and the work zone has shifted to the center,” she said. There is currently a lane closure in each direction as work continues on the westbound Zaragoza on-ramp, which is being reconstructed in concrete.
