Man arrested more than 3 years after alleged murder of two teens in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — A 20-year-old man has been arrested more than three years after he’s accused of killing two teenagers, according to SAPD.

Joshua Reyes has been charged with capital murder for allegedly shooting two teens aged 14 and 15 respectively in July 2022. At the time, the two victims were identified as cousins 14-year-old Edgar Emiliano Rojas and 15-year-old Edgar Evarado Menchaca.

According to police, Reyes had messaged both victims on social media, resulting in them meeting up in the 1700 block of Schley Avenue. Police say the three ended up in a vehicle, one of the victims in the front seat, the other in the back. Somehow, Reyes shot both teens in the vehicle. One died at the scene; the other died at the hospital…
