AFR: 8 people displaced after home fire in southwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Eight people and two pets had to find somewhere else to go after their home caught fire Monday in southwest Albuquerque.

Around 1:47 p.m., Albuquerque Fire Rescue units responded to the 2900 block of Ervien SW, near Coors between Arenal and Blake. They found a home on fire and brought it under control within around 15 minutes.

AFR reported no injuries. They stated the fire left eight people and two pets displaced. AFR helped four residents with assistance from the Red Cross. The other residents will stay with family…
